Crane rigger — Tama County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a crane rigger in Tama County, Iowa. You will work in a steel fabrication yard. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Day to day you will tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; guide loads through tight openings into their final position; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit.
