Immediate opening: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in Ingham County, Michigan. The role involves change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear; measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers; set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54); adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish; top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed; watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes. Requirements: • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection 2+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours.
