Precision welder — Long County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a precision welder in Long County, Georgia. You will work at a busy sheet-metal workshop. On the job you will handle: • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator Requirements: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection We offer $250 per day plus benefits.
