Immediate opening: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Albemarle County, Virginia. You should have: • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket Your main tasks: • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
