Steam press operator — Washington County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a steam press operator in Washington County, Kansas. Day to day you will give each garment a final press before packing; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts. What we are looking for: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work 3+ years on the tools preferred.
