Now hiring: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Hancock County, Ohio. You will work at a busy garment factory. What we are looking for: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens Day to day you will change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line.
