Lathe programmer-operator wanted in Lucas County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in Lucas County, Iowa. The job is in a precision engineering workshop. Your main tasks: • Check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet • Measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers • Top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed • Set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54) • Set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets • Change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear You should have: • Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T • Comfortable standing for long shifts and lifting up to 20 kg • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred 6+ years on the tools preferred.
