Blocklayer • Bay County, Florida

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a blocklayer in Bay County, Florida. You will work at a groundworks and structures site. You should have: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools On the job you will handle: • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses We offer $2,600 per month plus benefits.
