Counter butcher — Boyd County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a counter butcher in Boyd County, Nebraska. The job is in a meat processing plant. Your main tasks: • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights Ideal candidate: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day 1+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. We offer $3,100 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
