Immediate opening: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Rhea County, Tennessee. The job is at a busy machine shop. What we are looking for: • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • 2-3 years' hands-on milling experience On a typical shift you will set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges; hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm; apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed.
