Shakeout operator wanted in Saluda County

Now hiring: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Saluda County, South Carolina. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. Day-to-day duties: • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring You should have: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
