Blocklayer — Etim Ekpo

Join our team: we are hiring a blocklayer in Etim Ekpo, Akwa Ibom State. The job is on a commercial construction site. The role involves: • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser What we are looking for: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets Full-time, day shift.
