Immediate opening: we are hiring an elevator service technician in Loup County, Nebraska. On a typical shift you will rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables; wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches; service the traction motor, brake and gearbox; test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake; run load and overload tests with test weights; carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes. What we are looking for: • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
