Butcher — Highland County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a butcher in Highland County, Ohio. You will be based at a halal meat counter. Day to day you will trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain. Ideal candidate: • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. $2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
