Vacancy available: argon welder (England)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an argon welder in Isles of Scilly, England. The job is in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. On the job you will handle: • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal You should have: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
