Backhoe loader operator — Effingham County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a backhoe loader operator in Effingham County, Illinois. The job is at a road-building project. Your main tasks: • Operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material • Break rock and concrete with the hydraulic breaker attachment • Read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles • Check for underground cables and services before digging • Excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations Ideal candidate: • Minimum 2-3 years' experience operating earthmoving machinery • Able to operate excavator, loader and dozer confidently • Awareness of site safety, PPE and lifting procedures 3+ years on the tools preferred. $31 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
