HSE officer — Custer County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a HSE officer in Custer County, South Dakota. You will be based at a manufacturing plant. On the job you will handle: • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site Requirements: • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot Full-time, day shift.
