Conventional mill operator — Des Moines County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a conventional mill operator in Des Moines County, Iowa. You will be based at a fabrication and machining plant. The role involves select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors; keep in-process inspection records and log production counts; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square. Requirements: • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work Overtime paid at a premium rate.
