The role involves spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots. You should have: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
