Argon welding operator — Wahkiakum County

Join our team: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Wahkiakum County, Washington. Requirements: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Your main tasks: • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish 3+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Pay around $4,400 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
