Gantry crane operator wanted in Iberia Parish

Vacancy available: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Iberia Parish, Louisiana. You will work on a high-rise tower crane. Day-to-day duties: • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block Requirements: • Current medical and eyesight certificate • Able to read load charts and lifting plans At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
