Join our team: we are hiring a confectioner in Iosco County, Michigan. You will work at an in-store supermarket bakery. What we are looking for: • Basic cake decorating and piping skills • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics On the job you will handle: • Knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer • Shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand • Check finished products for colour, crumb and weight • Roll out short-crust and biscuit dough • Prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity • Load and unload the deck oven with a peel Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
