Semi-automatic welder — Lawrence County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Lawrence County, Mississippi. You will be based at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. On a typical shift you will set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts.
