We are recruiting: we are hiring a core maker in Doncaster, England. You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding The role involves: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring Full-time with occasional weekends.
