Now hiring: we are hiring an ironing operator in McDonald County, Missouri. You will be based in a tailoring workshop. On a typical shift you will sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching. Ideal candidate: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine Six days a week, one day off. $2,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
