Great opportunity: we are hiring a tower crane operator in Lyon County, Iowa. The job is on a high-rise tower crane. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Able to read load charts and lifting plans On a typical shift you will fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports; keep a safe distance from overhead power lines; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block. 6+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $4,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
