Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Boone County, Illinois. The job is at a busy fabrication workshop. On a typical shift you will select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size. What we are looking for: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
