Aluminium tig welder — Auglaize County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Auglaize County, Ohio. Day-to-day duties: • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle You should have: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Own basic hand tools and PPE Overtime paid at a premium rate.
