Panel welder — Wayne County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a panel welder in Wayne County, Ohio. The job is at an automobile body shop. On the job you will handle: • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing Requirements: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
