We are recruiting: we are hiring a MIG welder in City of Harrisonburg, Virginia. The job is at a steel fabrication workshop. The role involves lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; grind back and re-weld any defective runs. Requirements: • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • ITI in welder trade or equivalent Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
