Argon welding operator wanted in Lamb County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Lamb County, Texas. The job is in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. You should have: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard On a typical shift you will keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. $240 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
