We are recruiting: we are hiring a construction labourer in City of York, England. You will work with a civil contractor. You should have: • Wear safety helmet, boots and gloves at all times • Willing to work outdoors in heat, dust and rain On a typical shift you will clear debris and sweep the slab before the next pour; wheel barrows of rubble to the skip and keep the site clean; load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate; dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel; carry bricks, cement bags and sand up to the masons on site; fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns.
