Immediate opening: we are hiring a rebar worker in Floyd County, Virginia. You will be based on a busy residential building site. Ideal candidate: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules You will tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; assemble column and beam cages on the bench. At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. We offer $260 per day plus benefits. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
