Sample machinist • Bernalillo County, New Mexico

We are recruiting: we are hiring a sample machinist in Bernalillo County, New Mexico. You will be based in a textile and apparel unit. What we are looking for: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory The role involves: • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges We offer $4,100 per month plus benefits. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
