Ironing operator — Chittenden County

Join our team: we are hiring an ironing operator in Chittenden County, Vermont. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases Day to day you will spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; give each garment a final press before packing. At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. $220 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
