Garment machinist — Buchanan County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a garment machinist in Buchanan County, Iowa. Day to day you will meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance. Requirements: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory Full-time, day shift.
