Immediate opening: foundry worker (Kentucky)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry worker in Lawrence County, Kentucky. What we are looking for: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor The role involves: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings Overtime paid at a premium rate.
