Steel fixer — North Somerset

Join our team: we are hiring a steel fixer in North Somerset, England. The job is at a high-rise construction project. The role involves: • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions What we are looking for: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
