Vacancy available: foundry labourer (Indiana)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Washington County, Indiana. The role involves carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Six days a week, one day off.
