Bar bender and fixer — Jay County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Jay County, Indiana. On the job you will handle: • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder Ideal candidate: • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations Part-time with flexible hours.
