We are recruiting: we are hiring a banksman in Jackson County, Illinois. You will work at a power plant. Day-to-day duties: • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
