Immediate opening: fabrication workshop technician (Alaska)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a fabrication workshop technician in Nome Census Area, Alaska. What we are looking for: • Confident on the double-mitre saw, welder and corner-cleaning machine • Able to work to deadlines in a busy workshop • Knowledge of common hardware systems such as espagnolette and friction hinges Day to day you will read the cutting list and optimisation sheet and label each profile; crimp glazing beads to length and snap them into the frame; insert galvanised steel reinforcement into the profile chambers and screw-fix it; rout lock and hardware pockets with the copy router; fit fly screens, sills and trickle vents; clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash.
