Vacancy available: we are hiring a groundworker in Howard County, Iowa. The role involves wheel barrows of rubble to the skip and keep the site clean; load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate; break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker; hand tools and materials up to workers on the upper floors; bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns; pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator. What we are looking for: • Know how to mix concrete and mortar to the right ratio • Physically fit and comfortable working at height • Prior experience as a labourer on building or civil sites Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. $2,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
