Join our team: foundry worker (Iowa)

Join our team: we are hiring a foundry worker in Worth County, Iowa. You will be based on the moulding line. Your main tasks: • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles What we are looking for: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Full-time with occasional weekends.
