Machine operator (earthworks) — Rockbridge County

Join our team: we are hiring a machine operator (earthworks) in Rockbridge County, Virginia. You will work on a busy civils and groundworks site. The role involves: • Clear sites, demolish structures and load out muck and rubble • Dig foundation trenches and footings to the marked depths and levels • Lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains • Dig and trim drainage channels and attenuation ponds Ideal candidate: • Sound understanding of daily maintenance and greasing • Physically fit for long hours in the cab on outdoor sites • Able to read drawings, setting-out pegs and level pegs At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
