Foundry worker — Buffalo County

Now hiring: we are hiring a foundry worker in Buffalo County, South Dakota. What we are looking for: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Day-to-day duties: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
