Now hiring: we are hiring a cnc lathe operator in Russell County, Virginia. The job is at an auto-components manufacturing unit. You will watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes; deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand; load and index turning tools in the turret; read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances; change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear; set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54). Requirements: • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges • Able to hold tolerances to ±0.01 mm • Minimum 2 years on CNC lathes with Fanuc or Siemens controls Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
