Vacancy available: we are hiring a crawler dozer operator in Merrick County, Nebraska. You will be based at an open-cast mine. Day to day you will spread imported fill in even layers ready for compaction; backfill trenches and foundations once services are laid; refuel the machine and record running hours; clear land of trees, stumps and debris before earthworks begin; cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes. Ideal candidate: • Able to read grade stakes, drawings and site levels • Knowledge of daily greasing and pre-start inspections • Good understanding of cut-and-fill and batter slopes Overtime paid at a premium rate.
