Metal caster — Monroe County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a metal caster in Monroe County, Michigan. On a typical shift you will melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture. Ideal candidate: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Meals and transport allowance provided.
