Head baker — Wise County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a head baker in Wise County, Virginia. The job is at a cake shop. What we are looking for: • 2+ years' experience as a baker • Able to work early-morning and night shifts • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens The role involves: • Load and unload the deck oven with a peel • Decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream • Rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials • Knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer • Proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing 3+ years on the tools preferred. $19 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
